I would like to advocate Caroll even if Felipe alread did so in <4E6D2214.3080809@debian.org>. I know Caroll for....quite some time already. She has proven her great interest in Debian and helping the project by attending a few DebConfs and helping wherever she could during all of them. I think that everybody who attended DebConf 11 were particularly impressed by her commitment to deal with volunteer tasks and she has indeed been my best Cheese Assistant ever..:-) I know part of Caroll's work in Debian: the one that involves translation efforts for Brazilian Portuguese. Indeed, I'm amazed by the amount of work she's doing for it. I can't obviously judge the quality of this work, but the fact that I never ever heard any criticism of this part of l10n work in Debian says it all. I read through Felipe's advocacy that Caroll wants to involve herself in maintaining packages. I can't unfortunately give an advice about her work in that field as we never collaborated for that. Knowing the care she puts into all her other works in the project, I have no doubt that packaging work will be done with great quality too. Caroll fully understands what the project is about, our philosophy and procedures. She interacts very well with others either by mail or in real life. I would really welcome Caroll becoming a DD (whether this is with or without upload rights, dunno what route she did choose, though from Felipe's advocacy, I suspect she chose that packaging/upload rights route). I'm not that good in advocating people, so this may be too short. Advocating friends is indeed not that easy after all....but, believe me, Caroll is very worth entering the NM process! --
