Yes - Jimmy mixed up New Maintainer and New DM. :(

So from my POV his NM process should be cancelled, but leaving
further procedures up to Jimmy and you.

ACK, I support Jimmy's request to become a DM, but not
for becoming a DD.

That's right, though as we're sharing the same office I discuss
issues regarding his packages and practices with him in RL and have
good experiences regarding his technical work, he did packaging work
for Grml.org which doesn't show up on DDPO/PTS at Debian.
