Hello,
I would like to become a Debian Maintainer. I've sent the e?mail [1],
also attached to this mail, to the mailinglist debian-newmaint. Now, I'm
looking for one or more Debian Developers to support my application. If
you think I would be a good Debian Maintainer, please post a statement to
debian-newmaint. Something like this:
Subject: Debian Maintainer application for Mathieu Malaterre
I believe that Mathieu Malaterre has the technical skills needed to
maintain Debian
packages. I support his application to become a Debian maintainer, because
<explanation why you believe he has the right skills>

Thanks, Mathieu.

Subject: Intent to become a Debian Maintainer (DM)
To: debian-newmaint@lists.debian.org
This is my declaration of intent to become a Debian Maintainer [1]
I have read the Social Contract, Debian Free Software Guidelines and
Debian Machine Usage Policy and agree with all of them.
Currently, I maintain the following packages within debian-med as user
'malat-guest':
- gdcm -- Grassroots DiCoM is a C++ library for DICOM medical files.
- dicom3tools -- DICOM medical image files manipulation and conversion
tools
- dcmtk (snapshot) -- The OFFIS DICOM toolkit command line utilities
(snpashot)
- dicomscope -- The OFFIS DICOM Viewer
I intent to maintain the following packages:
- devide -- Delft Visualization and Image processing Development
Environment
- pvrg -- JPEG implementation from Standford
- opensourcepacs -- OpenSourcePACS is a free, open source image
referral, archiving, routing and viewing system
When the project will mature, I'd like to also maintain CharLS -- An
optimized implementation of the JPEG-LS standard for lossless and
near-lossless image compression.
My GnuPG key 0EA23F2B is signed by the Debian Developer Aurélien Jarno
<aurel32@debian.org>
I look forward to becoming a Debian Maintainer. Thanks for your attention.
Best regards,
