   Applicant writes:
Born in Paris, grown up in the woods of the "Waldviertel", left
them for funky Vienna. I'm a theoretical Physics student at the TU
Wien. There I discovered HP-UX on the student servers. Got hooked
by a friend, who had installed Slackware at home and wanted to have
a good Perl Developper Plattform. Chosed Debian 1999 for it's
security and many options strength. I'm working as part-time
administrator at the Institute for Information Business of the
   Vienna Economical University.

Being interested by how Linux runs hardware I got into the Kernel
Janitor project. Maintained it for 1/2 year in 2004. Became member
of the newly formed Debian Linux Kernel Team and tried to beat
initrd-tools into shape for the Sarge Release. I helped in
backporting patches through the looong Sarge freeze. Now I'm
continuing my work on the early boot userpsace in Debian.

   Google says:
Maximilian is active on LKML and in various other open source
   projects.

2. Philosophy and Procedures
-----------------------------
Maks has a good understanding of Debian's philosophy and
procedures. He answered all my questions about the social contract,
DFSG, BTS, etc. in a good way. He commited to uphold the SC and
DFSG and agrees to the DMUP.

3. Tasks and Skills
-------------------
Maks has a good understanding of the technical side of Debian. He
is maintainer of klibc, initramfs-tools, and usplash, all
co-maintained by or with other developers. All packages are in good
shape. He also answered my other questions regarding T&S without
problems and provided patches for RC bugs.

4. Recommendation
-----------------
I recommend to accept him as a Debian Developer.
