There's a lot for me to read and think about here. When I've made
some choices and get them working together I'll let you know how it
went.
Just one more question for now - I've never quite taken to Ubuntu, I
just don't like the graphical style. Am I overlooking Ubuntu Studio
because of my own tastes? How does it compare with Studio 64?
