As far as  Debian Multimedia and  DeMuDi  are concerned,  I don't know
whether there are people  around  these project using platform   other
than i386/powerpc, but I guess none or very few.  I agree with Guenter
and I think that the most feasible choice, is  to start working on the
2.6 series. It would be nice if we could  upload a custom kernel tuned
for audio work directly to the official Debian unstable branch, if not
we can host it in the DeMuDi pool.

Is  somebody already packaging  Jack's and  Torben's kernel module for
the 2.6?
