Re: Mirror not appearing on official mirror list even though listed on the Masterlist and sponsor change
Hi,
I think two things might be getting confused here. There are two mirror
lists on the same page on the website. The first only lists those that
are ftp.XX.debian.org, the second, much larger, list includes all
mirrors that are currently operating correctly.
So far as I know, the installer's list of countries is automatically
generated during the installer build. While it does use a - static, and
manually updated from time to time - copy of the Masterlist, the logic
is otherwise entirely separate from that used on the website.
If an ftp.al.debian.org alias was created and pointed to deb.debian.org
then traffic would go the CDN.
