Lemote mini-pc NOT supporting external usb-2.0 Trendnet TU-ET100?

Hi,

With a Lemote mini-pc 2F6004:

% cat /proc/cpuinfo
system type : lemote-fuloong-2f-box
processor : 0
cpu model : ICT Loongson-2 V0.3 FPU V0.1
BogoMIPS : 530.43
wait instruction	: yes
microsecond timers	: yes
tlb_entries : 64
extra interrupt vector	: no
hardware watchpoint	: yes, count: 0, address/irw mask: []
ASEs implemented	:
shadow register sets	: 1
core : 0
VCED exceptions : not available
VCEI exceptions : not available

I tried enabling an external USB NIC, using a TrendNet TU2-ET100,
which is supported by usbnet driver:

http://www.linux-usb.org/usbnet

I'm using the debian experimental kernel:

% uname -a
Linux mini-0 2.6.37-trunk-loongson-2f #1 Fri Jan 7 10:10:56 UTC 2011
mips64 GNU/Linux

Under debian gnu/linux. Notice I installed debian by ffirst
installing gnew-sense, sincer debian doesn't suppot lemote under its
installers yet.

I could actually see the external NIC work for a little while, and
after copying from another machine a 104M file, the NIC was just
shutdown:

I'm not sure whether this is a kernel bug, or a HW problem. Recently
I had problems with the internal NIC most probably due to HW problems,
on the checksum computation by HW... I need to enable a 2nd NIC in
order to make the mini-pc work as a gateway mini-server. Perhaps
someone else has experiences with this mini-pc, and has already make
an external NIC work already, and if so any hints would be
appreciated. Also any hints on how to debug and file a debian
experimental linux bug, that'd also work out, :-) If faster solution
is to use an external NIC known to work, please let me know so I can
try acquiring it...

Thanks,
