I hope Thomas or Yoichi will give you some advise because I won't have
access to email for the next 10 days.

Ideally, you'd take the mainline kernel 2.6.25 and 2.6.26 to verify
that the former works whereas the latter doesn't (i.e. to outrule a
Debian specific patch) and then do a git bisect (see e.g.
<http://kerneltrap.org/node/11753>)
