Kernel seems to load fine (at least arcsboot says so) :

arcsboot: ARCS Linux ext2fs loader

Loading v2.6.16 from scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(0)
Allocated 0x38 bytes for segments
Loading 64-bit executable
Loading program segment 1 at 0x88004000, offset=0x0 4000, size = 0x03ef086
[actual loading, skipped]
Starting ELF64 kernel

Then nothing happends, and a reset is needed to get the machine back
to life.

And if you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there...
