I prepared a tftp server for, but I can't have any succes.
What problem did you see _exactly_?

Have you read http://www.pvv.org/~pladsen/Indy/HOWTO.html and
http://www.zorg.org/linux/indy.shtml
not exactly , but others yes,

They tell you how you need to
configure your TFTP server so it'll work.

I'll try again.

it seems that dhcpd - tftp are ok, I made a new add :

  * |unsetenv netaddr|
  * |bootp(): root=/dev/ram0|

but I have the same issue:

"Unable to execute bootp()":root=/dev/ram - the last try -

The syntax is:

bootp():

with the root filesystem being the default anyway. From the error
message it looks like you typed

bootp() :root=/dev/ram

Note the space is in a different place.
The syntax was correct; that my I quated the message with "" to say "the same message
I receive for everyting I tryed.

Server is: Linux p22 2.6.15-1-686 #2 Mon Mar 6 15:27:08 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

tail /var/log/daemon.log:
Mar 20 20:20:52 p22 dhcpd: BOOTREQUEST from 0x:0x:xx:0x:x0:xx via eth0 (non-rfc1048) Mar 20 20:20:52 p22 dhcpd: BOOTREPLY for 192.168.1.33 to sgi (0x:0x:xx:0x:x0:xx) via eth0

On a server I see only this two "bootp" replay each time a start a bootp(). nothing moore...

Ah, and I can't ping the sgi box .

Normal, the firmware doesn't reply to ping requests.

Nice !

Thiemo

Thanks again.
