Hi all...
I compiled the CVS- Kernel from oss.sgi.com several times, but I have
the problems, that, some tool are segfaulting, e.g. ls... :(
I got always :
palic@Feathers:~$ ls
segmentationfault
palic@Feathers:~$
Does anybody knows this problem or a hint?
The mysterious thing is the follow thing....
Output of free:
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 60080 55184 4896 0 3076 44292
-> 64MB RAM
Output of linuxlogo:
One Indy with R4000SC Processor
192M RAM
So... I have four sims in my Indy, so it might be right, that there are
64 MB in it.
Might this be the problem with my kernel and the segfaults?
How can I fix it?
The second thing is, when I boot the old kernel vmlinux-2.4.3.ecoff,
andrun depmod -a : I got this :
.
.
.
depmod: local symbol sl_alloc with index 55 exceeds local_symtab_size 11
depmod: local symbol slip_open with index 58 exceeds local_symtab_size
11
depmod: local symbol slip_close with index 62 exceeds local_symtab_size
11
depmod: local symbol slip_ioctl with index 63 exceeds local_symtab_size
11
depmod: local symbol sl_ldisc with index 68 exceeds local_symtab_size 11
depmod: local symbol gcc2_compiled. with index 11 exceeds
local_symtab_size 11
depmod: local symbol __gnu_compiled_c with index 12 exceeds
local_symtab_size 11
depmod: local symbol sg_version_str with index 13 exceeds
local_symtab_size 11
depmod: local symbol sg_version_num with index 14 exceeds
local_symtab_size 11
depmod: local symbol __module_kernel_version with index 15 exceeds
local_symtab_size 11
.
.
.
What might this be?
Thnx for your help?
Greetings
Jan
