Am I good? That is quite a good way to deal with the issue. It stops you shipping code that is not strictly free software (not in preferred form), removes bloat, and ensures that system versions of libraries are being used (you may need to patch upstream to make this actually work - just removing the dir may or may not be sufficient depending on how the code is linked/used. You may also find that _some_ of the 3rd party stuff is not in debian already so you will need to package that first. Or you may find that it is modified from the debian versions (in ways that matter) in which case you need to get thosepatches into the debian package, or stick with the 3rd-party version. Or it requires a different version from the one(s) available in debian inwhich case agin you either need to fix it to work with the version in debian or stick with the 3rd-party version. Does that all makes sense? Wookey -- Principal hats: Linaro, Debian, Wookware, ARM http://wookware.org/
