Thanks! So far only Helmut has given feedback and offered to have
another look when time allows. I'll ping you if there is no follow-up
by the end of the month or so. (That said I wouldn't mind more eyeballs

If by “update to the latest version” you meant my dropbear-{bin,run,initramfs} packages,
you'll find them there:
