Re: how to adopt a non-orphaned package?

The basic procedure is to try to politely get in touch with them
first. They might either update the package, or orphan it so you can
take over. There might be reasons for the inactivity, or why it hasn't
been updated recently. If they don't respond in a month you contact
the MIA team.
