1) Usually packagers using this debian/copyright style add something like
Files: debian/*
Copyright: Your name here
License: same as upstream
2) I can confirm it builds in a chroot.
3) You don't need changelog entries for all the versions that were not
uploaded to debian. I understand you want to show people that you are
fixing the things they suggest, but I think most of your comments belong
in git logs, not not in the changelog. I would suggest one stanza, and
remove some of the minor packaging issues. Feel free to leave in the
various contributions from other people.
