$ dh-make
$ cd debian/
edit/copy in control, copyright, changelog and edit rules
remove unwanted files
$ cd ../
$ dpkg-buildpackage

Sounds easy - but how do I get it to copy my one single file? What Dmitry suggested does not quite work ...
