Hi! * Barry deFreese <bddebian@comcast.net> [080218 15:17]: [ license.tcl ] >> Oh, you remove it in debian/rules? Any reason for that? > Gah, that's new. Ah, makes sense to remove it then, but a lintian override would be the better way :) >> - The watchfile is broken > Hmm, I had it working. I'll check that too. Please check that; it seems that my internet connection is quite flicky currently; maybe it was just a problem on my side. >> - debian/copyright is wrong; the files I checked under src/tkgate are >> gpl-2 or later. I think it should be mentioned that way (and the >> pointer to the common licenses adjusted). > I thought I left the link to GPL? IIRC (I allready removed your package and am to lazy to download it again), debian/copyright say it's GPL without any version. Which would mean, that I can choose any Version I like including GPL-1. However the sourcecode say, it's GPL-2 or later. IIRC debian/copyright points to /usr/share/common-licenses/GPL, which is a link to GPL-3. So you can either decide, that we distribute it under the GPL-3, than the link would be correct, but the text should be adjusted, or decide that GPL-2 or later fits out needs as well, but then you would need to adjust the text and the link to point to /usr/share/common-licenses/GPL-2. Yours sincerely, Alexander
