Is there any chance for filter to provide a "libfilters" library to interface with? I've packaged talkfilters because it was a possible use of libtranslate [2] [3], but that's not really necessary. I could try to patch it so that it uses your "filters" package, but that would need a library to use. In the meanwhile, I'll rebuild libtranslate disabling support for talkfilters, so that it (together with gnome-translate) can be uploaded.
