I had a quick look at the packages and the only comments I could come up
with are for the rules file:

    * You might consider getting rid of the CFLAGS stuff at the top. I
      think it is dh_make cruft for python.
    * I have found that using the setup.py to install python is normally
      much easier/simpler/more maintainable, however it seems that it
      still needs to be written;)

I havn't found a good answer to this question yet either...

AFAIK these warnings are when python finds a piece of code that probably
will break in a future version of python. Good idea to get it fixed now.
