Request for sponsor to become a new maintainer.

Request for sponsor to become a new maintainer.

My name is Erik Welander, and I am making a request for sponsorship in order to become a new maintainer for a package I have created and tested. I have read the New Maintainer's Guide and followed these directions when creating the package.

Description of Package:
Name: aspell-sv_1.3.8-1_i386.deb
Description: a Swedish dictionary for the aspell spell checker.
Functionality: Provides spell checking functionality for Swedish texts as well as automated spell checking abilities from within Abiword for the Swedish language. The library is licensed LGPL.

Who am I ?
I live in Stockholm, Sweden. I hold a master's in computer science from Stockholm University/RIT and consider myself as computer literate. Due to the downturn in the IT sector I am working in the sales/marketing area and will for the foreseeable future use my computer related skills only in my free time, and sees this as a useful contribution to the community.

You can read some info about me on a www-page I have authored:

Since I am fluent in English I do not need a Swedish speaking sponsor. The package in question is tested and found working on my system and checked with lintian without errors. Since I am not all that familiar with your process I will need some help from the would be sponsor, and I can send him/her my package for testing purposes and am grateful for feedback and requested changes.

Well that it about it, so if you think you have the time, and think that this library would be useful in the Debian distribution feel free to write me a letter at my e-mail address: erikwelander@hotmail.com

Best regards from
Erik Welander,
Stockholm, Sweden.
