That's your decision, but judging from what you write,
if you don't know much about X, and don't want to maintain
X bits, it is reasonable.
You may provide something like usr/games/xsoldier-x if you
wish to provide some old-compatible program, but that will
(seeing that it is unmaintained) probably decay to unusability.
