Hi, I'm trying to use debconf to get inputs from the user in the package update-cluster. My problem is that, there will be a variable number of nodes for which information is required. This will be only known at runtime. It will be impossible to enter the nodes information separated by ':" or some such thing. How do I write a templates file for such a case, because the templates file needs to know all the information beforehand ? I thought of fixing up the max. number of nodes to 16. Now, if I use the backup functionality, how do I allow the user to specify 4 nodes and then continue, instead of pressing <enter> another 12 times ? Also, the config file and the template files are a big mess then. Another way I thought of was to read a string and write it to a tempfile, and then use it in postinst. However, this doesn't work well with backup in debconf, and isn't a good idea too. Please let me know if there's a good way to do this.
