Whoa, really, why ?

Unless someone knows how to override the renaming behaviour
this is an option:

After all, maybe this can be a solution to the underlying
problem (init with our without the PG dependancy) which does
away with the package split entirely ?  Alternatives are
meant for applications but can work for other files just as
well.

Sorry to not bring this up earlier.
