BTW since fis-gtm backport builds nicely for wheezy and ubuntus >=
12.04, would it be of any value for you guys if we provided backports
for it from NeuroDebian?

Yes, having backports from NeuroDebian (or from backports.debian.org

as Andreas suggested) will be very valuable for our efforts of disseminating 

fis-gtm (and hence M/MUMPS).

We will be happy to help, if anything needs to be done,

but we will certainly need guidance from you.    :-)
