Thanks for pointing these out.


Looking at them, 
it seems that the large majority are incorrect permissions.

We seem to be using 0664 where Lintian expects to see 0644.

They seem to be easy to fix. 

The lack of PIC code 
http://lintian.debian.org/tags/shlib-with-non-pic-code.html
is something that we should be able to fix easily as well
in the CMake build infrastructure


I'll look at those during the weekend.


I will appreciate any guidance and advice
