I'm running testing and had

$ apt-cache policy git-buildpackage
git-buildpackage:
  Installiert:           0.6.0~git20120601
  Installationskandidat: 0.6.0~git20120601
  Versionstabelle:
     0.6.0~git20121124 0
         50 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ unstable/main amd64 Packages
 *** 0.6.0~git20120601 0
        501 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ testing/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

and also tried installing git-buildpackage from unstable right now
without any difference. I do not think that this problem is caused
by the different git-buildpackage versions - just lets hear what our
Git experts here on this list might say (several of them live in a
different time zone).

Kind regards

       Andreas.
