so I have pushed my tag

$> git push  --tags origin    
Counting objects: 1, done.
Writing objects: 100% (1/1), 184 bytes, done.
Total 1 (delta 0), reused 0 (delta 0)
To git@github.com:luisibanez/fis-gtm.git
 * [new tag]         5.5-000 -> 5.5-000

now if you git fetch you should be able to use git describe
