I'm not really back online thus I would be happy if somebody else could
do this. What I would do before a final remove is actually asking the
ARB upstream authors whether this would be a bad thing to do. Perhaps
we delay the wider announcement until I get some response from there.
As a general side note: I would consider mentioning other things like
removing some really outdated, badly written, non-free code on our new
communication channels as more important. People who are just new to
these channels might become a bit confused and really overestimate the
relevance of this news compared what was sended on these channels
before.
