I just uploaded the new biomaj package version to make sure the package
upgrade issue will be fixed soonish and will not affect more users.

However, IMHO the configuration process needs some better handling for
the unexperienced user. What does the question for a non-java expert
mean:

   "The JDK home directory:"

I think this could be better handled. The package explicitely depends
from openjdk-6-jdk and the location of the directory thus should be
clear. The only reason to change this would be if the user has some
strong reasons to use an alternative - but this is rather a case where
to use

   db_input low ...

and should be hidden from normal users. Only if the admin has set a
higher priority for debconf questions this should be showed an in any
case it should be showed with a preset default directory - most probably
the very same you are using in debian/rules as JAVA_HOME.

You are more or less using "db_input critical". Please reread

   man debconf-devel

which explains the priority values. All other questions do at maximum
qualify for "high".

Another hint is regarding the database configuration. There is a common
interface in the package dbconfig-common. Please consider using this
for your configuration. It just simplifies things for you and it is a
good idea to use it except you have strong reasons why it would not work
for you.

Kind regards

        Andreas.
