My apologies, I was in vacation and I was not reading my emails. No, I
have not done anything with arachne. I came back last night and I just
woke up. I am currently catching up with work and I thought I would
send in a note to add that genome annotatation my supervisor asked me
to install.
while we are on the subject of new software to package, how about this

Could a Senior member of debian-med, please email the university and
ask for a license for the program? I got a copy of it as an academic
license; it looks like an easy job for repackaging.
