Re: About the latest versions of T-COFFEE in http://www.tcoffee.org/Packages. (fwd)

Cher Charles,

I am not sure I understand the question:

The current release is version 5.56, as indicated on the page http://www.tcoffee.org/Projects_home_page/t_coffee_home_page.html, this release number matches te version number contained in http://www.tcoffee.org/Packages/T-COFFEE.version. This version has been tested and is therefore the new current release. This is always the case with any "default" version (i.e. the vesrion in http://www.tcoffee.org/Packages/T-COFFEE.version).

If you want to stick with a specific release, I keep all previous releases, including the current in: http://www.tcoffee.org/Packages/T-COFFEE_distribution_Version_<Version Number>.tar.gz

so for instance:
http://www.tcoffee.org/Packages/T-COFFEE_distribution_Version_5.56.tar.gz

Please let me know if this is enough, if you need something else for the site to be compliant with DEBIAN I will be happy to make an update to the current procedure,

Cheers,

Cedric

everything higher than the highest distribution

My current release strategy is to only make a new release: (i) when a novel
application has been published (ii) when a major bug has been fixed (iii)
when some other public application requires some adpatation of T-Coffee.

Bonjour Cédric,

one of our members noticed that content of the following file matches
the current non-bêta version number of T-Coffee.

http://www.tcoffee.org/Packages/T-COFFEE.version

Can we use it reliably, or do the numbers just match by chance?

Otherwise, it would be helpful to us if the version number would be
present in the file name.

Have a nice day,

Charles
