Excellent! it is nice to see that you want to adopt the EMBOSS program! I plan to "dissect" the debian source packet to better understand the changes required for the debianization of the existing inofficial package EMBOSS 2.8. Then I can help the debianization of the newest version EMBOSS 2.10.
Should we also debianize the web-based EMBOSS GUI frontend wEMBOSS?

Prima! es ist sehr schon, daß Sie das EMBOSS Paket adoptieren willst!!! Ich planne, das Debian Quellpaket für EMBOSS "sezieren", um die Anderung, die nötig für das "Debianizieren" des existerienden inoffiziellen Paket EMBOSS 2.8, besser verstehen. Dann kann ich die neuste EMBOSS Version 2.10 Debianizieren helfen.
Außerdem sollten wir das Web-basiende EMBOSS GUI Frontend wEMBOSS

auch debianizieren? Das wird EMBOSS viel benutzerfreundlicher machen.
