I don't know what you have suffered in your attempts to improve Debian,
and I'm sorry if you got rude comments too. But it's not a reason to
perpetuate such bad habits.

Nguyent already replied to you[1] to inform you that you can go ahead
and the he discarded his work. I updated dla-needed.txt to put your name.

I certainly agree with this, but not all maintainers want to take care of
their packages in old releases. So what should our ideal workflow be ?

Shall we ping the maintainers when we add a package to dla-needed.txt and
put debian-lts@lists.debian.org in copy so that everybody who helps can
know the maintainer's answer ?
