Hi again Colin and Matthias, (for now, considering you as the Ubuntu lsb contacts, I keep you in CC; please tell if you want me to change that [hint: there is debian-lsb@l.d.o which is rather low-traffic]) Le vendredi, 4 mai 2012 10.02:09, Didier 'OdyX' Raboud a écrit : > I propose to open a merge-from-ubuntu branch on the Git repository that > will include: > > a) the conversion of the scripts to be python2 and python3 compatible; > b) a dpkg-vendor snippet that does the shebang lines conversion for > distros that "derives-from" Ubuntu. After discussion on #debian-python, I tend to think that a safer course of action is to create a test suite before the scripts. Once the testsuite is reasonably complete and passes on python2.7, then progressively migrating the scripts to be 2.7-3.2 compatible can be done safely. This work currently resides on the pytests branch: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab- maint/lsb.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/pytests Opinion ? Cheers, OdyX
