I tried that earlier, when you suggested it, and could not get it to work with any desktop, only for the base installation with no graphic desktop.  The example you cite does not include any desktop, if I am reading the configuration correctly.

I have
# CGI Config for git
_LB_CONFIG="xfce-desktop"

I have a nice build from April 7 when the web front end was working beautifully (thanks!), and I can wait for a final fix, but meanwhile this problem seems to be causing trouble for other users.



Yes, I agree it is an issue and we need a correct fix. But what I suggested did work for a single test build for me. Perhaps someone could download and test since I have limited bandwidth access most of the time.
