let me participate in this thread, I hope my opinion helps,
in my Live images I have seen the same error, which is caused by a segfault in
busybox, from this point the execution of booting scripts in initramfs becomes
erratic,
Specifically, you must delete the patch "shell-ash-export-HOME.patch" when
compiling the busybox package.
