I get more and more into Debian which I whish to install on my netbook (eeepc 10005HA). I try the live squeeze boot from an usb stick, look great with the Lxde desktop, light, fast, wifi out the box and so on, great until I hit the Debian installer icon, no response, doesn't work.

First, please indicate exactly which image you used. Alpha 2 was just released yesterday, and ought to contain some important fixes to the installer launcher (though I haven't yet had time to test it to ensure that's the case).

Could you tell me how I can make it works. Or should I use a Squeeze cd and make an usb stick with Unetbootin. I really want to use it.

If the launcher doesn't work, even running in a terminal as Daniel indicated, when you boot the image, just select one of the install options at the boot prompt.

Please also see http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEeePC/Model/1005HA for important info about installing Debian on this model. That page doesn't mention the live images yet because they're still in alpha testing, but debian-live alpha 2 should be suitable to use as well as the standard debian-installer images that page recommends. If you have Eee PC specific support issues, please contact the debian-eeepc team:
