i'll give the official squashfs lzma development a whirl since this should be what lands in the official linux kernel eventually.

three questions:

1) the readme of the snapshot of the squashfs-tools and kernel patches says
"The squashfs-tools need the LZMA sdk to build LZMA support." is the
sdk packaged for debian?

2) peeking in the readmes' i dont see a documented "-lzma" switch. how do i tell mksquashfs to use lzma? i assume that the kernel detects this at boot time, so there should be no reason to pass an option to the kernel.

3) any chance debian source packaging for the squashfs-tools w/ lzma support? my prefered way of installing binaries into my debian-live cd is through an unofficial apt repository which i maintain. if not ill add a hook which installs the binary...

thanks!
