These should came from usplashy/lsb integration, where instead on "Done" it 
would complete a bar and/or printing an "OK". So I think that what we see is 
the console fallback.

To have a look of what I mean, try to boot an ubuntu live CD, or a working 
usplash debian live cd :-)

But I can be wrong, I did not checked that stuff recently.
