That's what happens now:

Uh, oh. lh is trying to build a lenny (and I just have got "unstable" in
sources.list). OK. Add lenny there (don't forget APT::Cache-Limit "16777216";
somewhere -- found this value by successive doubling ;), do apt-get
update: no joy, same error :-(

Anyway. I'd be happy enough with an "etch" live, that's what I was
aiming at anyway. Grep+find tells me

  config/bootstrap:LH_DISTRIBUTION="lenny"

so change this to "etch". There it goes. Retrieving packages now.

[Just stop me anyone if you find those narratives boring]
