Hi,
Since some days (week?) ago the live-debian images that I am building
have started to fail when I test them ( at least with qemu). The image
release is set to Lenny.
The problem appeared in a complex setup but I was able to see that tit
was reproduced if the image was build in a sid machine with the last
live-helper version from subversion: 1.0~a14-1:
make-live -p minimal
An error appears while trying to mount the root file system and returns:
Busybox v1.1.3 ...
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
(initramfs)
if the casper package is used this is related to casper trying to run:
/scripts/casper-premount that does not exist.
The problem also appears if one uses the live-initramfs from the live
Etch backports repository.
Finally I have checked by downloading the
http://live.debian.net/weekly-builds/20070528/i386/
debian-live-lenny-i386-standard.iso
<http://live.debian.net/weekly-builds/20070528/i386/debian-live-lenny-i386-standard.iso>
that the same problem also appeared on the debian-live server automatic
builds.
Could this be a problem of qemu? It does not look that way but
since I have not seen this problem reported before I am wondering.
Since the sid modules are still missing we can not test with sid.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Antonio Amorim
PS: Please let me know of any test that you could consider relevant and
I could build, test and make the images available if it is consedered
usefull.
