Rebuild without downloading
Hello Jan, Daniel and Mathieu thank you for your answers.
In my bootstrapping installation lh_binary_iso doesn't work and delete image_binary file in .stage directory and then rerun make-live again neither did it
I just install live-helper 1.0~a7-1 on a new ubuntu 6.06 (instead of putting my main system at risk) and testing again without bootstrapping.
I'll report to you
Cheers,
David

What you got downloaded is not "all the packages" but only some meta
informations
from the mirror to make sure you've got up-to-date local packages.

upgrading to latest live-helper is probably wise.
If you really don't want the "update" part, take your responsabilities
and comment out :
rm -f .stage/chroot_sources
in the end of /usr/bin/lh_binary ;-)
Thus .stage/chroot_sources will persist in the .stage directory,
lh_chroot_sources will then be skipped, and "aptitude update" won't
be called anymore.
Wondering if the advice is good though.
