I have been using this card successfully for years. (Though I must
confess not for a while, and when I just tried it with kernel
2.6.21-2-686 I had to unplug it a couple times before it took....)

On insertion:
kernel: pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot
kernel: pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia0.0
kernel: eth1: Atmel at76c50x.Version 0.98. MAC 00:30:bd:d0:16:d0

which loads the atmel_cs kernel driver.

You also need to install the atmel-firmware package.

I am not currently using WEP, but that has not been a problem in the
past.
