I made some tests vith videos and realized the one of the problem was
related to totem media player. I get much better results playing the
same video with vlc.
It's quite strange because I use totem even on my desktop (graphic card
is an old nvidia mx200) and both totem and wxvlc provide good results.
I tried to tweak configurations but all I found in gnome is
gstreamer-properties which is set on Xwindows(X11/XShm/Xv) on both pcs.
any idea about this different behaviour?

PS I'm using non-free nvidia drivers on the desktop
