In the logfile (/var/log/acpi). Here is an example:

That is a great pity. I would try the 2.6.11 kernel without patches.
There i would test manually:

echo -n mem > /sys/power/state
or
echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep

The laptop should suspend. To wake up, press the Fn key (perhaps
several times).

Same as me. I think, i don't need hibernate.
