In your XF86Config-4, there are two sections for the mouse. The one
that refers to /dev/psaux is your touchpad. The protocol should be
PS/2. The other one refers to /dev/input/mice. This is all but your
touchpad, including your USB mouse. You should set the protocol to
ImPS/2. I don't know if it is possible with `dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xfree86', so you may have to modify this file by hand. In this
case, the file will not be updated any more by dpkg.
