I have this message sometimes on my Athlon-700, when my RAM is full and it 
needs to swap. Do You have DMA-acceleration enabled? On my Athlon-700it is 
disabled because of problems with my chipset.

What does top say when it occurs? On my Athlon-700 KMail needs many resources.

KDE is heavy but IMHO a Centrino 1400 should be able to handle this. ;)
