It's entirely possible that Woody's xfree is too old for you; I don't
know. If it is, you'll have to try a backport.
The good news is, xfree does say your card is supported by the Radeon
driver, at least in the latest release of xfree86. It may be
supported by older releases; sorry, but I don't know enough about it
