How to install ATI Radeon IGP 340M

Hi, sorry for my English :(

I have a Packard Bell iGo 6206 with a ATI Radeon IGP 340M and I don't know
use the x-server correctly in Debian 3.0 r2 with kernel 2.4bf.
I have probbed other version as Knoppix and I only had problems at
boot, but writting "noapm" this problems disappeared. The video target
go well in Knoppix.

But I have install Debian 3.0 r2 with kernel 2.4bf and I couldn't use
the X mode. The log says in the last lines: "No screens founds" and
more up says... "no device found" (when I configure xserver-xfree86 as
"ati")

I have read more articles when people saids that ATI have maked a
driver for Linux, but this driver is for devices as 9xxx, 8xxx... but
with a device as 340M what there is do?

If someone knows many solution please tell me.

Thanks
